Cohere Technologies today announced that it has been chosen as one of the top 15 wireless industry start-up companies for 2016 by FierceWireless in its annual “Fierce 15” list of start-ups with the potential of becoming a major industry player. Cohere was one of hundreds of companies evaluated this year and was selected for this honor by the editors of FierceWireless based on the potential of the company’s revolutionary wireless modulation technology, OTFS™, to be a major advance in the development of 5G wireless services.

Cohere Technologies was nominated for the 5G World Awards for its groundbreaking wireless modulation, Orthogonal Time Frequency and Space, or OTFS. Cohere developed this patented wireless modulation to address the most critical issues facing wireless communications today – capacity, coverage and cost. Currently, OTFS is being evaluated by the 3GPP for inclusion in forthcoming 5G wireless standards.
